Legal Communication & Rhetoric Visiting Scholars Grant Program
In 2010, ALWD created a new grant program this year to further extend ALWD's commitment to support, strengthen, and encourage scholarship that focuses on the study and practice of professional legal writing. This program, the LC&R: JALWD Visiting Scholars in Rhetoric and Writing Program, was developed by the Board of LC&R: JALWD.
Under this program, ALWD will award up to $3,000 to each of four law schools to fund visits by legal writing scholars. The applications are reviewed by an Initial Review Panel to determine compliance with the program's goals and then forwarded to the Final Review Panel. The Final Review Panel then carefully reviews the applications in accordance with the criteria outlined on the grant guidelines.
